| Inspired by a previous student who constructed a pulse jet, I decided to build a hybrid electric vehicle from scratch for my senior project. The aluminum frame, bellcrank & pushrod suspension and low roll center were to provide good ride characteristics, while the turbine auxiliary power unit and 68hp electric motor were to provide the charge & go. While finishing the car before graduation, I was only able to perform a few test runs before heading off to graduate school. |
